📚 UPSC Civil Services Selection Process
The UPSC Civil Services Examination has three main stages:
1️⃣ Preliminary Exam

Objective-type, MCQ-based.

Consists of two papers:

General Studies Paper I (200 Marks)

CSAT Paper II (200 Marks) – Qualifying in nature.

2️⃣ Mains Examination

Descriptive-type written examination.

Includes 9 papers, out of which 7 are counted for merit.

3️⃣ Interview / Personality Test

Final selection is based on Mains + Interview (Total 2025 Marks).

IFS selection also involves three stages:

IFS candidates need to select specific science subjects relevant to forestry and environment.
